Join the FREEDM team at ECCE in Milwaukee! ECCE is the foremost IEEE conference in the field of electrical and electromechanical energy conversion. This year’s conference will feature industry-driven and application-oriented technical sessions as well as industry expositions and seminars. In addition to our table in University Row in the exhibit hall, several FREEDM students and faculty will be presenting.
Dr. Jonathan Kimball, Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri S&T University, will be presenting his paper titled “A Modified SRF-PLL for Phase and Frequency Measurement of Single-Phase Systems.” Graduated NC State student, Dr. Chang Peng, will be presenting some results from his dissertation regarding “Active Damping of Ultra-fast Mechanical Switches for AC and DC Circuit Breakers.”
Dr. Iqbal Husain, Director of the FREEDM Systems Center and ABB Distinguished Professor, Dr. Doug Hopkins, Director of the Laboratory for Packaging Research in Electronic Energy Systems (PREES), and student Yang Xu will present their work on two topics: “Development of an Ultra-high Density Power Chip on Bus (PCoB) Module” and “Design Methodology for a Planarized High Power Density EV/HEV Traction Drive using SiC Power Modules.”
