The FREEDM Systems Center is glad to announce that our Student Leadership Committee has been reinstated! Our students have been hard at work planning events that bring our students and faculty together. This past weekend on Saturday, June 8th, the committee came together to put on a delicious BBQ at Lake Wheeler!

Many students from the center enjoyed their lunch together on the bright and sunny afternoon. Amiya Haque, the SLC president, expressed her gratitude before the food was served and encouraged FREEDM members to keep up to date with any SLC announcements in the future. This group has more events coming up like the IEEE PELS Day Lab Tour and Lunch with Professor Roy. We hope to see continual success from our student leadership and are looking forward to their future plans!
